TRAVERTINE and DECORATIVE STONE
TRUSTED SEALANT EXPERTS
Travertine is a handsome, natural stone that is popular for pool decks, patios, entry ways, and other exterior applications. It has beautiful shades ranging from bleach white to black. Many cuts have extraordinary blends of tans, browns, and reds while others have greens, blues, and purples. Many people choose the travertine over other decorative stones for its durability. With that said, like all decorative stones, when they have been subjected to algae stains for a long period of time, they can get permanently discolored, lose their luster, or begin to break down.
NanoSeal hydrophobic sealers provide the perfect type of invisible, matte finish protection for decorative stones without changing the traction of the surface and rejuvenate the stone to restore the fresh appearance for years. With a NanoSeal penetrating sealant that also binds with the stone to strengthen and protect it against mold, mildew, and the bleaching effects of the harsh sun day after day.
We proudly stand behind our product, so that you can enjoy the beauty and easy upkeep of your travertine and know that it will stay that way for years to come.
Travertine Color Enhancement
To maximize the unique features and individual characteristics of each piece of Travertine, using a NanoSeal color-enhancing sealer provides a phenominal accentuation without the normal topical applications that are sure to dull, crack, and peel. NanoSeal products for Travertine do not leave a slippery surface and will not change the traction of the stone like most other color-enhancing options on the shelf.
Beyond the rejuvenation of the original finish, NanoSeal products for Travertine color-enhancing provide a lasting hydrophobic seal with a eye-catching wet-look, even when the stone is dry. By repeling the water, pollons, dust, dirt, and grime that add to the surface from tire ware and the natural elements, NanoSeal will reduce the need for repeated cleaning with brute pressure or chemicals and will provide lasting value in the protective investment.
This is a serious option for adding curb appeal and perceived value to the front or back of the property.
Decorative stones including granite, marble, quartz, and exotics are particularly popular for counter tops, bathrooms, showers, patios, entry ways, and other exterior applications.
With variations of textures, stone strengths, and porosity, protecting decorative stone is a special art. The concerns for the care and avoidance of stains and damage can be greater than the original cost of the stone purchase and installation.
Furthermore, filled with extraordinary blends of beautiful natural colors including stark white, tans, browns, reds, greens, blues, purples, black, or some variation of metalic flakes, Nanoseal provides either matte finish with no change to original colors or can accentuate the colors to be more pronounced.
In any case, NanoSeal will penetrate the stone surface to bond with the fibers within the capillary pores during the curing process. Once the product has cured, it will greatly mitigate unsightly and lasting stains from, water, embedded calcium, wine, sodas, and most other liquids.
Your NanoSeal representative will spend time to understand your specific needs and concerns based on the types of decorative stone, and to answer any questions you may have. In all our applications, we only use highly trained technicians who are certified through NanoSeal University to provide you with the best outcome and complete customer satisfaction.
Day 1 – Your certified technician examines and evaluates the area to determine the condition of the stone, including a plan to rejuvenate the color, remove stains, mold, mildew and grime. Next, the team thoroughly sanitizes and cleans the surface, followed by pressure or soft washing and a final rinse of the area if needed to clear away any remaining cleaning solutions. Once it is completely clean, the surface is left to dry for 24 hours.
Day 2 – Prior to the NanoSeal protective application, the certified technician inspects the surface to ensure that the surface is dry to the touch. Any sand between the paver joints, if applicable, that may have been lost during the cleaning process will be replenished. The team then begins the one coat restorative sealant application using either the solvent-based or water-based products.
NanoSeal normally dries in sunny areas within 2-3 hours but it requires nearly 24-36 hours for curing. Shaded areas, low temperatures, or higher humidity slow down the drying process. The surface may be kept open to foot traffic in 2-3 hours and to vehicular traffic in 24-36 hours. NanoSeal recommends all sprinkler systems be turned off during this time to allow proper curing.
NanoSeal protects and strengthens your decorative stone with a superior breathable waterproof coating that discourages mold and mildew. Periodic washing with plain water to keep the area clean is recommended.
Acids, gasoline, hydraulic fluids, and motor oil spills need to be removed from the surface as soon as possible.
